The best way to explore the enchanting landscapes of the Pyrenees and the Aure Valley is during a hike or a walk in the countryside. Many routes are located around our establishment. We will meet you at reception where we can show you the path to follow, depending on your desires and your level.

Le Lustou is located on a secondary branch of the GR10 coming from the Col du Portet, an exceptional hike which crosses the Pyrenees.

The region is also renowned for having hosted the Tour de France, you too can conquer legendary passes and discover the stage that will lead the tour in Saint-Lary on July 13, 2024! Also take advantage of our proximity to Spain to explore Aragon.

Agos leisure center

Next to the campsite, the Saint-Pierre d'Agos chapel dates from the 11th and 12th centuries, listed as a historical monument on May 19, 1863.

In the immediate vicinity of the campsite, you will discover the Agos leisure centre. This place is a paradise, with family or friends. You will appreciate its 2 lakes offering an exceptional panorama, the picnic tables, the armchairs and deckchairs calling for relaxation and contemplation, its play areas for children, its hiking trails and its omnipresent nature. Fishermen will also be in paradise and can practice their favorite sport.

The Néouvielle nature reserve

In the Aure Valley, in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Néouvielle nature reserve is taking shape. This protected natural space offers you breathtaking landscapes and postcard settings. During a walk, you can observe hook pines and more than 70 lakes, as well as its unique fauna and flora. Created in 1968 in its current form, it is one of the first nature reserves in France which is located as an extension of the Pyrenees National Park.

Combining the discovery of this natural heritage by a large number of people and the protection of the fauna and flora required the establishment of a regulation. Its main objective is to inform hikers about the behavior to adopt. Do not hesitate to read it. Neouvielle nature reserve leaflet.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Orédon laboratory (Néouvielle Nature Reserve), the Country of Art and History service of the Aure Louron Community of Communes and the Pyrenees National Park have joined forces to publish a brochure downloadable here.
