Le Lustou, a committed campsite in the Hautes-Pyrénées

The history of camping

Le Lustou, a campsite near Saint-Lary, is a committed family establishment. Founded in December 1980 by Francis André and his father, a mountain guide and a native of the valley, Le Lustou has become an essential meeting point for all mountain enthusiasts. For 42 years, Francis and Myriam have helped you organize your stays in the heart of the Vallée d’Aure. Today Guillaume takes up the torch, driven by the desire to keep the spirit of the place alive.

A few events have marked the history of the campsite near Saint-Lary-Soulan:

  • In 1986: the organization of a Boeing flight over the Pyrenees with campers
  • In 1987: a Mingan Indian tribe came for advice on conserving their reserve.

With the arrival of the new team, the values of Le Lustou campsite in the Hautes-Pyrénées remain the same: to offer you an unforgettable experience where conviviality is king.

We’re particularly committed to being a human-scale campsite. We know our campers and we love to welcome them on all their wild adventures in the Pyrenees.

We’re also committed to preserving our environment, which is why we take action on a daily basis to preserve its beauty and authenticity.

A daily commitment to eco-responsibility

We are committed to our beautiful region and its conservation.

With this in mind, we encourage our campers to practice selective sorting.

A composter is also available on site.

We try to work as much as possible with “Ecocert” cleaning products, but also with local producers, while favoring short circuits.

Come and meet us, and we’ll tell you all about our plans for the future.
